The value for money at Backpacker Cat was excellent, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal, close to the city center and popular tourist sites, and the staff, especially Alex.

Hotel breakfast could be improved with a greater variety of options.

The hostel had a great party atmosphere and there was always something fun happening. I especially loved the big barbecue they organized for a volunteer's birthday, and anyone was welcome to join! The staff were really helpful and made sure everyone had a good time. Plus, the price was really affordable for the quality of stay.

The cleanliness of the hostel could have been better, as it wasn't very clean during my stay. The bathroom areas needed more frequent cleaning and the kitchen utensils could have been improved.

I had a great time at this hostel in Rio. The location was perfect, in a safe neighborhood with easy access to public transport. The volunteers were friendly and helpful. The AC in the room made for a comfortable night's sleep. And the breakfast included in the price was delicious. I would highly recommend staying at this cost-effective hostel in Rio.
